COMMUNITY LEAGUES
Empowering communities to grow the game their way
The Future Elite Community Leagues initiative is focused on supporting community champions who are building sustainable, year-round lacrosse programming for youth. By partnering directly with communities, we aim to strengthen local leadership, create consistent opportunities for play, and ensure the long-term growth and development of the game where it matters most.
This work is a direct result of the foundation built through our Community Camps in Fall 2025, where we saw firsthand the demand, energy, and potential within each community. Those camps created access and sparked momentum, and Community Leagues are the next step in turning that momentum into sustainable programming.
Our first sponsored league, Kahnawake Lacrosse (KLAX), is a strong example of what’s possible when community leadership and support align. What began as a response to a clear gap in consistent programming has grown into a structured U11 box league, providing weekly gameplay, skill development, and a space for young athletes to stay connected to the game during the winter months . With multiple teams, steady participation, and a focus on inclusivity, the league has created meaningful access and momentum for youth in the community .
The impact is reflected not just in participation, but in the experience. As shared by KLAX, the season was defined by growing confidence, stronger skills, and a genuine love for the game, supported by coaches, families, and the broader community. This is exactly the kind of environment we aim to support and expand.
Through Community Leagues, our role is to invest in these efforts, amplify local leadership, and help build models that can be sustained and replicated across communities.
